MAPS: SONDRIO, MOUNTAIN AND TEGLIO. LYING EAST TO WEST ON THE RHAETIC SLOPES WITH EXPOSURE TO THE SOUTH

VINYARD: OPTIMAL POSITION LYING BETWEEN 350 AND 450 METRES ABOVE SEA LEVEL.

SOIL: SUB-ACID GROUND, LIME-SAND, PERMEABLE TO WATER, MODERATE ORGANIC SUBSTANCE.
  
WINE PROCEDURE: PRODUCED BY SUBMERGED ‘HOOD’, WITH PRESSING ON SKINS FOR 15 TO 20 DAYS AT A CONTROLLED TEMPERATURE.

AGING: AFTER THE FIRST FREQUENT AND FUNDAMENTAL DECANTING, THE FORCED LIQUID IS MATURED IN SMALL, FRENCH OAK BARRELS FOR AT LEAST 12 MONTHS AND IN LARGE OAK BARRELS FOR A PERIOD OF OPTIMIZATION. IT IS REFINED IN BOTTLES FOR NO LESS THAN 5 MONTHS AND CAN BE KEPT FOR A PERIOD OF UP TO 10 YEARS AND LONGER.

ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS: INTENSE, ALCOHOLIC AND PERSISTANT AROMA WITH VIOLET UNDERTONE.
A FULL “RAISIN” FLAVOUR, HARMONIOUS AND VELVETY. RUBY COLOUR TENDING TOWARDS GARNET ON AGING.

ALCOHOL CONTENT: 14,5 %

RESIDUAL SUGAR: 2 g/l
